Hello to you my name is Peter Smitheram and I am a Retired Mechanical Engineer.

I have been interested in Archaeology all my life and I can now indulge myself in this subject.

On either side of this Geology and History become inevitably part of Archaeology.

It was seeing Sir Mortimer Wheeler and listening to him as a child that inspired my interest.

I am a volunteer digger for Suffolk Archaeology Unit if they have a site to work on in my area.

In the main this site will be about the Archaeology of my local Village and surrounding area.

Also its Geology and History.
